Field trip in Cagliari : meeting with the Port Authority (activities concerning the protection of the maritime space)

Centre of Environmental Education and Cetacean/Sea Turtle Rescue in Pula)

Guided tour of the archaeological park of Pula and the ruins of the ancient city of Nora (the first Phoenician city in Sardinia)

Il nostro Istituto ha dato la possibilità a me ed altri quattro compagni di far parte di una delle tre mobilità previste dal Progetto Erasmus+ KA210, incentrato sulla conoscenza e la protezione degli spazi marittimi, prevista in Grecia, dal 15 al 21 gennaio.

The two main relevant activities for the project during the mobility in Cagliari have been :


- the visit at the port authority and its operations room during which the students were able to learn about the function and duties of a port authority regarding marine safety and environmental protection in a strategic area of the Mediterranean, such as the one in southern Sardinia;

- the visit at the CEAS (Center of Environmental Education) in Pula, where the students learned about the preservation of an important ecosystem close to a big city, new techniques in monitoring the flow of water and fish into the lagoon, how to sample water and analyse it in order to detect plankton and other organism relevant for the marine species, the recovery of marine species such as turtles.
